The students at Saint Virgil Academy in Morris Plains, NJ had worked on a science project for purifying water. They had various inputs from a NGO in Dharavi and at the end of the project, decided to reach out and extend a helping hand to students in India.
Fr. Lance’s sister – Lyra and her family spent the morning at Claudine’s home in Kharghar with the 60 odd girls who live at this boarding and who are being educated at Convent of Jesus & Mary High School. Earlier, text books were donated to the children from the gift sent by their new friends at Saint Virgil Academy.
A biryani lunch was hosted by Fr. Lance’s nephew – Colin for the children. Sr. Helen read out the card sent by the school kids at SVA and the children at Prem Dan offered a prayer of thanks.
Sr. Philomena, Sr. Helen and Sr. Antonette were wonderful hosts and laid out a real treat.
